SEC Connect is a new kind of EDGAR filing agent made up of former securities lawyers and public company accounting and finance professionals who provide more than just EDGAR filing services on behalf of our clients. We’re experts in the filing and disclosure requirements of smaller reporting companies and you can expect us to do more than simply convert your documents to SEC-compliant HTML. We’ll assist you in implementing XBRL, will keep you current regarding changes to the reporting forms, and disclosure rules and regulations, and advise you when those changes affect your filings. And we’ll provide you with pricing alternatives that result in substantial savings to the costs charged by typical filing agents.
How is SEC Connect different from a typical EDGAR filing agent?
To begin with, simplifying the reporting process for smaller reporting companies, their officers, directors and investors is all we do – that’s the business we’re in. As a result, we won’t be pitching printing or other services or products to you. And you’ll see as we work together that we’ll be drawing on our expertise as securities lawyers and financial and accounting professionals to bring innovation to the reporting process for smaller reporting companies that other filing agents simply can’t offer. And we’ll provide our services at a cost that is straightforward, and competitive.
What kind of EDGAR filing services does SEC Connect provide?
We are a full service filing agent, offering conversion and filing services for smaller reporting companies, their officers, directors and investors, under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. That means we’re capable of meeting all your EDGAR filing needs. And we’re experts in XBRL, and can assist our clients in tagging their financial statements, and meeting the requirements to file financial statements, footnotes and financial schedules in XBRL.
How do you charge for your EDGAR filing services?
We typically charge a flat fee of $10 per page for conversion and editing, and $5 per page for filing, subject to a minimum filing fee of $150. We don’t charge for edits made to the document after submission, or for conversion of tables or graphics. And if you need your document in a hurry, no problem. We don’t charge for rush projects. We also offer an annual subscription fee for companies desiring to fix their annual costs for all ’34 Act filings.
Does SEC Connect offer XBRL consulting or other services to its clients?
Although we’re EDGAR filing agents, and experts in the process of preparing and filing reports required to be filed with the SEC, we’re also available to address all your questions relating to disclosure and filing requirements, whether related to XBRL, or the latest rules and regulations adopted by the SEC affecting your filings. Our Professional Services Group is also available to assist our clients in tagging their financial statements to file in XBRL format, and to prepare their forms required to be filed under the Securities Act of 1933, or the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Contact your sales executive to learn more about our Professional Services Group, and how they can help you in meeting your disclosure and filing obligations.
