According to a survey from Compliance Week, most publicly held companies are barely aware of XBRL, the financial reporting technology the SEC is set to impose on corporate America later this fall. As a result, chances are you're not even remotely ready.

Don't worry. If you're a smaller reporting company, you've probably got some time. The SEC is not anticipated to mandate XBRL for most smaller reporting companies until 2011. Yet many companies are getting a head start in implementing XBRL, and SEC Connect is there to help.
